Spring is almost here.....Robins and their Nest

Hello! Spring is only one month away and I can't wait! I love the new #WaffleFlowerCrafts Sweet Nest and Bluebird Duo dies. I turned the birds into Robins, but will definitely make Bluebirds in the future. The sentiment is from Poppystamps.

This is a floating edge card. I cut one inch off the front. and trimmed the distress oxide background I made the same.

Time to Party

Hello! Here's another fun birthday card with the new Poppystamps Penguin Party release. I wanted a subtle background, but also some shimmer, so I started by ink blending pastel Distress Oxide inks. Next, I added sparkle paste over the Poppystamps Criss Cross Heart stencil. Once it dried, I die cut the paper with the largest Scalloped Pinpoint Frame die to create a festive background.You can read more about it on the Poppystamps Blog! 

This card was so much fun to put together and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. With lots of cake and presents, what more could you ask for? 

Adorable Ladybugs!

Hello! I love the adorable little ladybugs from Waffle Flower. I die cut many in red foil and black glossy cardstock. I just kept adding them to cards, but still have quite a few left for summer cards! I love the color combination of red and purple, so this was perfect.

I think ladybugs are perfect for Valentines, so I used the Lush Garden embossing folder from Altenew and stenciled a large heart over the flower.

Next, "Just A Note"...Simon Says Stamp sentiment and an older Altenew embossing folder. 

I found this panel I had stamped and colored (Floral Garden by Simon Says Stamp) and added a few ladybugs.

 🩷Hello Friends! Another mix and match Valentine featuring stuff from my stash on the Waffle Flower Crafts Postage die. I love the Cupid die from Impression Obsession. I always like to embellish the inside of my cards (even if I don't always post a photo). 

Warm Wishes from a Little Penguin

Hello Friends! I’m bringing back my favorite Nordic Large Mitten, but the true star of my card is the new Fancy Party Penguin! As you can see, the theme of my card is hearts—it is February, after all! 

I die cut two Nordic Large Mittens and inked them with various shades of pink Distress Oxide inks. I added the Fancy Party Penguin and instead of using the included party hat, I used a hat from the Nordic Bundled Snowman to keep him warm. I couldn’t resist adding a small furry trim on the hat! My sentiment—Warm Wishes—is from the Nordic Winter Magic release. 

After finishing my card, I wasn’t completely happy with the Penguin placement—does that ever happen to you? So I remade the card and placed him a little lower. Now, I like both versions. Oh well, that just means I have an extra card ready to mail and bring a smile to a friend’s face. Do you have a favorite?

Don’t forget to add a special touch to inside of your card. I die cut another Scalloped Pinpoint Frame and lightly stenciled hearts using the Criss Cross Heart stencil to embellish the inside of my card.
